[U.S. – August 8–10, 2025]– The FSOMA Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Conference was held at the beautiful beachfront Westin Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Organized by the Florida State Oriental Medicine Association (FSOMA), this event also served as the Association’s 2025 annual meeting. The conference theme was “Where Knowledge Meets Community — Creating Holistic Healthcare Together!”
The gathering attracted several hundred TCM practitioners and acupuncturists from across the United States and Canada, with over 90% being Caucasian Americans and a smaller proportion of Chinese Americans.

The conference program covered several key highlights:
· Experience a spectacular weekend of acupuncture and Oriental medicine.
· Listen to renowned keynote speakers and deepen your understanding of ancient wisdom and modern medical advances.
· Explore a vibrant exhibition hall showcasing both traditional and cutting-edge products.
· Connect with like-minded acupuncture enthusiasts and build lasting relationships.
· Enhance your acupuncture practice — where inspiration meets tradition!
FSOMA invited 15 prominent experts in the fields of acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine from across the United States to deliver keynote lectures. Most were Caucasian Americans, with only a few Chinese-American speakers. Their presentations explored topics such as acupuncture theory and clinical skills, the application and development of Chinese herbal medicine, as well as legal issues concerning TCM practice in the U.S.
The conference also attracted 45 exhibitors from across the United States, representing acupuncture and TCM businesses that showcased their products and services.

FSOMA is the professional association for acupuncture and Oriental medicine practitioners in Florida. Founded in 1994, it is a 501(c)(6) nonprofit professional organization that has been serving licensed acupuncturists in Florida since its inception. Its predecessor, the Florida State Acupuncture Association (FSAA), was established in 1982 — just one year after acupuncture was legalized in the state.
FSOMA members are dedicated to improving the health and well-being of Florida residents by promoting the practice of Oriental medicine and acupuncture. Today, FSOMA stands as one of the most influential professional associations for TCM and acupuncture in the United States.
