Dr. Decheng Chen Launches 2025 Motion Acupuncture Clinical Training in Beijing, China

[Beijing News] Dr. Decheng Chen, the inventor of the motion Acupuncture Needle, held a “Motion Acupuncture” theory and practice teaching training activity at the Beijing Chaoyang Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Emergency Rescue Hospital on June 21, 2025.

Motion acupuncture is one of the projects of the “Focus on Strength” project of the Beijing Traditional Chinese Medicine Bureau. This activity was hosted by Zisu Qin, director of the Special Therapy Department of Beijing Chaoyang Emergency Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, and attended by Vice President Tianzhi Hao and relevant leaders.

The event attracted more than 100 Chinese medicine and acupuncture doctors from Beijing, Tianjin, Henan, Hebei, Jilin, Heilongjiang, Gansu and all over the country.

After the lecture began, Dr. Decheng Chen explained in an easy-to-understand manner the five major parts of Motion Acupuncture medicine: Motion Acupoints, Motion Acupuncture Needles, Motion Acupuncture Techniques, Motion Acupuncture Dynamic retention needles , and Motion Acupuncture Theories. He further illustrated the mysteries of Motion Acupuncture medicine through the explanation and analysis of typical cases.

Hongkui Yu and Mei Yang, two apprentices just recruited by Dr. Decheng Chen, exchanged and shared their experiences at the meeting.

After the theoretical part was explained, Dr. Decheng Chen personally guided the practical demonstration. In this activity, as in the past, the trainees randomly selected volunteers to receive treatment. They witnessed the treatment effect on the spot. The atmosphere on the scene was very active and enthusiastic!

Here are some highlights from the hands-on demonstration:

Neck pain, Range of motion limited 

The volunteer had neck pain for many years, and her lowering, raising, and turning  head left and right were limited and painful. Dr. Chen explained the method to the students while determining the muscle points according to the “three steps and one process”. After the muscle acupuncture treatment, the volunteer’s neck discomfort was significantly relieved and the range of motion was significantly improved. Low back pain, limited extension

The volunteer in front of her experienced the treatment of lumbar pain after the treatment of neck pain. Among all the volunteers, her lumbar movement was the most limited. Dr. Chen only used a few motion acupuncture needles to help her relieve the pain, and the improvement of lumbar movement was very obvious! She was very happy to say that she wanted to learn more about motion acupuncture and master this technique! The comparison before and after treatment is as follows:

Headache, fogginess

This volunteer said that she had a headache for a long time and her mind was not clear. After the physical examination, Dr. Chen explained that in this case, the neck problem should be considered. After loosened the sternocleidomastoid muscle, she felt that her mind was clear and her neck movements were very smooth. She was very impressed with the magical effect of motion acupuncture! Knee pain, limited squatting

After feeling the immediate effect of the motion acupuncture, the volunteer above came to the stage again to receive treatment for knee pain during the lower limb disease operation demonstration. Dr. Chen used several motion acupuncture needles to lift and move with the needles, and the knee pain was significantly relieved, and the squatting movement was significantly improved! Low back pain, limited forward flexion

This volunteer said that he had discomfort in his waist and hips, and was obviously restricted when bending over. Dr. Chen only used 1-2 motion acupuncture needles to resolve the discomfort. The comparison before and after treatment is as follows:

Left upper limb pain, limited mobility

This volunteer had pain in his left upper limb and was significantly restricted from touching his ear from behind his head. Dr. Chen solved his problem with just one acupuncture needle, and he was able to touch the opposite ear from behind his head. The specific comparison before and after treatment is as follows:

At the end of the event, many students were still reluctant to leave and said that this combination of theoretical explanation and on-site treatment demonstration was very good. They hoped that more acupuncture academic activities could be held in China in the future so that they could master the acupuncture technique as soon as possible to benefit the general public.
