Weidong Zhang

Graduated with a bachelor’s degree in 2013 and completed clinical internship at Affiliated Hospital of Changchun University of Chinese Medicine. Based on professional training, studied under Professor Hong Jie in the Department of Acupuncture.

In 2015, further clinical training was conducted under Dr. Cao Ran at the Changchun Traditional Diagnosis and Treatment Center, significantly improving acupuncture and tuina clinical skills.

Continuously engaged in clinical innovation and research, the doctor has led and completed multiple research projects, including:

• Provincial TCM Administration Project: “Clinical Observation of Subpatellar Fat Pad Inflammation Treated by Bian Stone Acupuncture and ‘Chuan-Style Release Technique’”
  • Applied clinically with statistically significant results
• Jilin Provincial TCM Administration Project (2021):
  “Clinical Efficacy of Bian Stone ‘Burning Needle and Rapid Puncture’ Technique on Knotting Points for Tarsal Sinus Syndrome”
  • Successfully completed and published related academic papers

In 2021, worked at the Bone Injury Department (Third Therapy Area) of Baishan City Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, studying under Director Zhao Peigang, a renowned TCM physician in Baishan City. Training included:

• Dong’s acupuncture techniques
• American chiropractic techniques
• Classical Chinese medicine theory

In 2023, participated in clinical research led by Director Zhao Peigang on the treatment of patellofemoral chondromalacia using “Foot Alignment, Hip Relaxation, and Tendon Regulation Manipulation Techniques.”
