Dr. Shen, originally from China, comes from a family of Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioners (many members of her family are medical practicioners). In 1986, Dr. Shen graduated from Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (FJUTCM) under their 5 year program that combined Eastern and Western training. She then worked as an Internal Medicine Physician at First Hospital of Quanzhou for over 6 years. Dr. Shen successfully treated over 20,000 patients with varying illnesses in China before moving to the United States in the early 1990’s.
Therapist Qualifications
In 1993, she was certified as a Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac) in California and worked at a Los Angeles Pain Management Clinic for 2 years. Since 1995 Dr. Shen has been a professor at Five Branches University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (FBU) and American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ACTCM). In 1999, Dr. Shen opened her private clinic in Los Altos.
