Cai Thorpe (郑彩) is a qualified traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) acupuncturist and member of two acupuncture societies CAHMA & BAF. She specialises in treating a range of problems using a variety of techniques including TCM needling (normally 0.16-0.25mm diameter dry needles), needle-free acupressure, cupping, moxibustion and Tuina (Chinese massage). To obtain faster treatment effects and shorten the whole treatment process, Cai spends quite a big part of time for consultation and assessment. She normally uses only a few needles and mainly chooses points on the limbs.
Originally from China, Cai’s earliest experience of practising traditional Chinese medicine was to help her family by following instructions given by her great grandfather’s old friend, a retired acupuncturist. The results from her efforts influenced her and drove her to study traditional Chinese medicine to help more people. Cai has attended numerous master classes and keeps up-to-date with continuing professional development so you can be assured of highest standards of care and expertise.
